Holiday posts keep coming! I'm one of your typical metallic eyes kinda gal when it comes to the holidays, specially gold or copper.

Style inspiration - Summer

With over 30°c out and actual summer less than a month away, I can't help but think of outfits to survive the heat on. Color, prints, pyjama and printed pants and skirts, sandals, flattops, flat boots, high waisted skirts, and dresses with jackets (because I refuse to show my arms no matter the temperature). Here are some of the styles I inspire to for summer.

jewelry picks

Lately I have found myself reaching for the same pieces of jewelry over and over again, So I decided to put them all up in a blog post and show them to you.
As you can see there's not much colour in my pics, I'm not one for bright or colourful jewelry, or clothes for that matter, and I love not having to match up the colour in the pieces with my clothing. I just hate when you're really loving something (say a handbag or shoes) and they don't match your outfit. Probably the reason for my almost pure black wardrobe.
The little triangle necklace is just perfect for simple tees and dresses. As it is a bit longer, it looks really great and relaxed over anything and honestly if I could only pic one piece of jewelry, it would be this necklace. The gold one is a bit shorter and perfect for shirts. I'm a big button up kinda gal, and this is perfect for under the collar (bit tricky now that the warmer months are coming). The rings are midi rings and actually came in a set of five, but I love to wear three (two in one finger and one on its own). The earrings are more of a hair-up choice. I don't really wear earrings that much, so I love that these two pairs are little and non-heavy. This look great specially with a messy bun and a bit of hair down the side of the face. The little silver earrings were a birthday gift, and I didn't start wearing them until recently. But I just love the way they peak

If you've been reading my blog for some time, then you know my love for a good matte lipstick. Gloss and shimmer just isn't my thing (at least for my lips), and after trying many lipsticks, I've come to find my trusty trio of red perfection

Beauty chat: Tips and Tricks

• When doing winged liner, look straight ahead for the flick, in triangle shape and then fill it in (and if you want perfection, first guideline yourself with eyeshadow and a angled brush).
• Want to make your favourite lipstick matte? no problem, apply the lipstick (I prefer a bit of liner underneath, but it's a personal choice) and blot in a tissue, then apply with your finger a itty-little bit of a similar colour blush, removing the shine and making the lips look velvety and matte (IMPORTANT: use a matte blush).
• Never apply blush further in than the line of your iris. Apply in the further out of your face and upwards.

Spring inspiration

So here's the thing, it's August 23rd and it's 27°C out. It's still a whole month to spring and we are having summer apropriate temperatures! so, I couldn't help but think of bright colours, loose fabrics, and all things spring wear. Here are just a couple of the pictures I found that made me go "yes, I want to wear THAT". What's THAT? simple: kimonos, jeans, boxy and loose shirts, high waisted stuff, long dresses, belts, flowy tops, leather-strip sandals, booties, lace, printed tees and a lotta lotta black and white (and maybe some colour, here and there).

When the weather winds start to change, and the new season is upon us, it can only mean on thing: Winter is coming. No, wait, I live in the southern hemisphere, so Spring is coming.

Birthday wishlist

So my birthday is just around the corner, a day away to be exact. And it would be my Bday's eve if I didn't make a little wish list of ideal gifts. Little disclaimer, I'm not really expecting to get this items (some are not even available in my country), as a matter of fact, I really suck at telling people what I want as a gift my policy is more of "whatever you think I'd like". So this is my "gifts I would buy for myself if I had a lot of money" wish list.

What I got for Christmas!

Last year was a good year, and the holiday season was the perfect ending. A lot of family fun, a little bit of time at the beach and a lot of relaxation, and of course GIFTS!
