Lately I have found myself reaching for the same pieces of jewelry over and over again, So I decided to put them all up in a blog post and show them to you.
As you can see there's not much colour in my pics, I'm not one for bright or colourful jewelry, or clothes for that matter, and I love not having to match up the colour in the pieces with my clothing. I just hate when you're really loving something (say a handbag or shoes) and they don't match your outfit. Probably the reason for my almost pure black wardrobe.
The little triangle necklace is just perfect for simple tees and dresses. As it is a bit longer, it looks really great and relaxed over anything and honestly if I could only pic one piece of jewelry, it would be this necklace. The gold one is a bit shorter and perfect for shirts. I'm a big button up kinda gal, and this is perfect for under the collar (bit tricky now that the warmer months are coming). The rings are midi rings and actually came in a set of five, but I love to wear three (two in one finger and one on its own). The earrings are more of a hair-up choice. I don't really wear earrings that much, so I love that these two pairs are little and non-heavy. This look great specially with a messy bun and a bit of hair down the side of the face. The little silver earrings were a birthday gift, and I didn't start wearing them until recently. But I just love the way they peak

Spring inspiration

So here's the thing, it's August 23rd and it's 27°C out. It's still a whole month to spring and we are having summer apropriate temperatures! so, I couldn't help but think of bright colours, loose fabrics, and all things spring wear. Here are just a couple of the pictures I found that made me go "yes, I want to wear THAT". What's THAT? simple: kimonos, jeans, boxy and loose shirts, high waisted stuff, long dresses, belts, flowy tops, leather-strip sandals, booties, lace, printed tees and a lotta lotta black and white (and maybe some colour, here and there).

Birthday wishlist

So my birthday is just around the corner, a day away to be exact. And it would be my Bday's eve if I didn't make a little wish list of ideal gifts. Little disclaimer, I'm not really expecting to get this items (some are not even available in my country), as a matter of fact, I really suck at telling people what I want as a gift my policy is more of "whatever you think I'd like". So this is my "gifts I would buy for myself if I had a lot of money" wish list.

There are a couple of weeks a year when my free time in front of the computer is dedicated to one thing, and one thing only: fashion week.
I love seeing what the new designers have in mind and what the trends are going to be, but this year I decided to change my point of view and shift from the clothes to the face. here are my picks of the makeup trend for this Fall Winter 2014.

All I want for Christmas

This is a little list of the things I would like for Christmas and which I'm pretty sure I'm not gonna get, for two possible reasons: 1) Most of these are not available in my country and 2) All of these are a little bit out of my budget.
But none of those are reasons to stop dreaming right? right!

Makeup

1- Hourglass Opaque Rouge Liquid Lipstick in icon: I've been loving opaque and matte liquid lipsticks lately, I just can't get enough of them!
2- Ted Baker wash bag: I've been eyeing this for ages now and I just think they are perfect for traveling. You just chuck all your makeup and toiletries and stuff and you are good to go.
3- Marc Jacobs eyeshadow palette in Style Icon: can we take a moment to take the beauty of this palette in? purples and nudes and lilacs and, Oh, I think I might be inlove
4- Nars NARS Guy Bourdin One night stand palette: some of Nars best and most popular cheek colours (Orgasm blush and Laguna bronzer) and some others that just take my breath away
5- Urban Decay naked3 palette: rosey undertones? checked! perfection doesn't even begin to cover what I think of this, every time I see a review online, my heart dies a little, knowing It's not in my hands yet.

Fashion

 1- Whistles Mini Swing Flapover Croc Leather Bag: croc and gold and oh so lovely! I'm inlove with the vintagy sixties vibe of this beauty.
2- Celine checked leather bag: I saw this beauty in I think the July edition of vogue and I've been obsessed with it ever since.
3- Viviene Westwood black London watch: I just love the simplicity and hardness of this watch. It's back metal with golden details and can I just say, Viviene has done it again.
4-Karen Millen Suede Closed Sandals: I can just imagine wearing this beauts with a pair of boyfriend jeans or a nice midi body con skirt. Adore them oh so much.
5- Giusepe Zanotti Afro wild culture inspiration ring: This ring covers half the finger and it's just such a perfect statement jewelry piece!
6- Black calfhide half boot with gold detail: I'm obsessed with metallic detail in shoes this season. I think that gold zippers and metal touches are perfect for this beautiful pair of leather booties.

October wishlist!

Since I'm in the middle of my college midterms, I've been locked inside my house studying (with small go-to-work/classes breaks) and all I've been thinking about is: I want to shop...
So, with that in mind, I leave you my wanted items (both beauty and clothing) for the coming month.

MUA matte palette: Love MUA products, I mean, they are super affordable and the quality is fantastic, so when they launched their new matte range, I new I was going to do some damage.
Me encantan los productos de MUA, son super baratos y la calidad es fantástica. Así que cuando lanzaron su nueva linea mate, sabía que iba a necesitar comprar.

MUA matte lipstick Wild Berry: I'm obsessed with plummy colours this last few months, I know It's a more wintery shade, but I can't help to want it.
Estoy obsesionada con los colores purpuras desde hace un par de meses, y si bien se que es un tono más invernal, no puedo evitar quererlo!

Revlon lip butter in Sorbet: Perfect spring colour! lovely (matte) finish. This shade is from the new summer collection of the revlon lip butters.
El color perfecto para la primavera, el terminado es mate. Este tono es de la colección de verano de las Revlon lip butters.

Tangle teezer: I've been reading soooo much about this product. It's suppoused to be magical and perfect for brushing painlessly trough your knots... it's like it's calling my name...
Leí un montón acerca de este producto, se supone que es mágico y perfecto para peinar sin dolor los nudos del pelo, es como si estuviera llamandome...

L'oreal lip caress In Aphrodite Scarlet: Just look at this shade, redish coral and perfect for a tanner face...
Miren este tono, coral rojizo perfecto para una piel más bronceada..

Barry M Smokin hot palette: I was browsing ASOS (I know, shocker!) and came across this new palettes from barry M, they are super affordable (less than 7 pounds if I recall correctly) and combine matte and shimmery shades with a matte blush.
Estaba chusmeando ASOS (lo se, que raro, no?) y me encontré con estas nuevas paletas de Barry M. son muy accesibles, si mal no recuerdo menos de 7 libras, y combinan tonos mates, brillosos y un rubor mate.

Clinique Stay Matte foundation: I read a magical review from a girl who claimed that this foundation lasted (matte) about 9hs on her. Sounds perfect for oily skin like mine!
Leí una review mágica de una chica que sostenía que esta base de maquillaje le duró, mate, al rededor de 9 horas. Suena perfecto para pieles como la mía!

August wishlist! (fashion & beauty)

Left to right:

Ebay studded tote: I've been eyeing this little baby for some time now, and I finally decided to go for it. The top is a suedy material and the top and strap are faux leather.

ASOS Sunglasses: I wanted to see how this kind of glasses (bigger band and almost "hanging" glass) would look on me, so before spending a big amount in a good pair, I decided to give these a try, since they were only 12pounds.

PRUNE handbag: this is on my birthday wish list, even though my birthday came and went, I'm still looking for this one. still trying to decide for black or burgundy. (BTW, also studded)


Ebay brush set: been looking for a nice, complete and portable set of brushes on ebay when I came across this set. I browsed to see if I could find any reviews but I couldn't find this particular set, hope they are nice (At least they look cute)

Black metal tip flats: I came across this flats when looking or the brush set, and they were sooo cheap I couldn't resist.

Talented Totes Maude & Tilda Saving For My Birkin Bag: saw this tote on Asos while looking for a clutch bag and love it, It will be on my next order for sure! I had never heard of the brand, but they have a lot of really witty tote bags, want them all!

River Island Coachella Fringe Beach Kimono: As the winter sales start, I can't help but look forward to spring and summer, and my obsessive piece of clothing of the season will probably be kimono jackets, since I don't like my arms, this lovely kimono will be perfect to pop on top of a PBD (plane black dress).

Asos strappy giraffe print dress: Can't help it, I´m crazy about and animal print (not as in zebra or cheetah print, but an actual print of an animal) and this one was so cute, I just have to have it!

Asos tie dye boyfrind shirt: just consider this, this shirt and an a pair of black high wasted acid wash pair of jeans, I´m sold!

Ebay sheer floral shirt: I'm a girl who likes her black clothing, I can't help it, while I like to pop some color as a detail or to make it less goth, I'm always going back to black. So when I saw this shirt (black indeed) but with a cute and pinky floral print, it was the best of both worlds.

July Wish List

As the month ends tomorrow, I though I would make a little list of all the (beauty related) things I want to buy this coming month.

R-L: L'oreal caresse lip stain - Models OWN lip crayon - Benefit eye primer - Marc Jacobs Daisy - Models OWN 5 P brush set - BLUE Q airmail pouch.

l'oreal caresse lip stains: I've been eyeing this for a few weeks now, but as in the store where I buy my Loreal products there are no testers, I had to do a little online research to see what shades I liked the most. And the winners are: Stay Lilac ever after, and Rose on and on.
Models Own lip crayon: Lately I've been having a little obsession with lip crayons, it all started when I got a few MUA power pouts, and when I saw that models own had launched their very own crayons, I was like neeeed them! this shade is Raspberry Cool (I have a thing for this kind of shades this fall/winter)
Benefits Lemon Aid eyelid primer: I'm on the search for the perfect eye primer, and after reading a few reviews, I think I've found the one I like. The only problem (sort of speak) is that its a bit on the pricier side  (£16 in ASOS), I'm a drugstore makeup kinda gal, and I don't know If I feel like splurging, specially because If I get it online, there is no way of testing the product.
Models OWN neon brushes: I'm in the need of some travel brushes as I'm going on a short getaway in a week or so, and this are sooo cute I couldn't resist.
Blue Q Postal pouch: I also so this beauty in ASOS (I'm an ASOS addict and I'm in no way going to rehab), and I thought "perfect for a makeup bag!" and oh so cute!
Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau du Fresh: This coming month is my BDay and I've gotten the little habit of gifting myself a perfume every year (oh how I love me!). This year, I think I'm going to go for this lovely one, I tested it and I can't stop thinking about it. As most of my perfumes are strong scented, so this fresh fragrance will come in handy for spring.
