Product love #2: Riri ♥ MAC smoked cocoa quad

About two months ago I went to one of the Riri hearts MAC presentations and, after getting my makeup done, I decided to reward myself with this little bad gal...

If I'm going to be honest, when I first got this, the one I actually wanted was the Her Cocoa quad, but that one was sold out, and after I tried this one I decided to give it a go. 

There are four shades, two black (one frost and one frost and one luster), a taupy shade (matte) and a champagne shade (frost),

First of all, I love the packaging, rose gold and pink, perfect and girly and not like anything I own. 

Si voy a ser honesta, cuando compré este producto el que quería realmente era Her Cocoa, pero no tenían stock, así que después de probar este, decidí darle una oportunidad. 

Hay cuatro tonos, dos negros (uno frost y otro luster) un color topo medio cemento (mate) y un tono champaña (frost)

Lo primero que me encanta es el envase, es dorado rosa, bien femenino y no tengo nada igual.

I started playing around with it and I even took it with me on holidays and I have to say I love it. At first I thought this might not be the most versatile quad, but the combination of shades does give a great deal of options when it comes to makeup looks. 

You can wear shroom all over the lid with a bit of copperplate to define the crease (this was perfect for Christmas time and daily holiday looks). You can add blacktied to make a really nice glossy smoky eye. Or you can wear copperplate washed all over the lid with Nehru in the crease. The possibilities are endless. 

Empecé a jugar con los tonos y hasta me lo llevé para las fiestas y tengo que decir que me encanta. Al principio  pensé que no sería el cuarteto más versatil, pero la combinación de tonos da un gran número de posibilidades. 

Podés usar shroom en todo el párpado con un poco de copperplate para definir el pliege (lo que fue perfecto para la época de navidad para el día). Podés agregar blacktied para hacer un smoky eye bien brilloso, o podés usar copperplate suave en todo el párpado con un poco de Nehru en el pliege. Las posibilidades son infinitas!

As you can see, most of the shades are quite pigmented and soft, except for Nehru which is a bit more chalky and less pigmented.
Como pueden ver, la mayoría de los tonos son bastante pigmentados, a excepción de Nehru, que es más bien polvoso y menos pigmentado.

Over all, I really like this quad and I think I'll get even more use out of it come fall and winter, I can list all of the looks I'm thinking of with a nice strong lip.

En conclusión, me gusta mucho este cuarteto y creo que lo voy a usar aún más en otoño e invierno, puedo enlistar todos los looks que estoy pensando en hacer con un buen pintalabios fuerte.
